Plenty of visibility
for our cooperative

In the run-up to Valentine's Day, several publications have appeared about the floriculture sector and the crop protection products used. Royal FloraHolland has taken the lead in launching a media offensive. In it, a counterpoint was given, showing with data from MPS that there is a declining trend in the use of crop protection products. Through a press release, social media and by collaborating within the industry, we made ourselves heard as a voice from the industry. In addition to the press release, an exclusive interview with Pieter Bootsma appeared in De Telegraaf (DFT). A number of regional media, including Haarlems Dagblad and IJmuider Courant (part of Mediahuis) copied the message in full. The AD/Westland and Sustainable Enterprise also picked up the press release.

Hart van Nederland and the popular talk show Eva covered Valentine's Day. In HVNL, auctioneer Erik Wassenaar spoke, while Eva put RFH's logistics staff in the spotlight in the section The Shoulders of the Netherlands

A reporter from Goedemorgen Nederland live was at Royal FloraHolland on Valentine's Day for a report and interacted with several employees. This gave viewers a unique look behind the scenes during the busiest period of the year when millions of flowers are traded. Employees shared their experiences about the hustle and bustle, the logistical challenges and the significance of this day for the flower trade.
